Hospitality Empty Hospitality

Hospitality: friendly reception, generous treatment of guests or strangers. The welcome of others with warmth.

I. According to the Bible, hospitality is not an option.

We are to minister to others through hospitality.
Rom. 12:12-13, I Pet 4:9

Christian leaders must be lovers of hospitality. Titus 1:8

We must be hospitable even unto strangers. Heb. 13:2

God gave us many examples of hospitality:


The Shunammite woman. II Kings 4:8-37
Abraham entertained angels. Gen. 18
The home of Mary and Martha. Luke 10
Jesus washed the disciples' feet. John 13
The Last Supper. Luke 22
